We have been asked by many of our friends and family about a gift registry or ideas for wedding gifts. We certainly appreciate your generosity and would like to suggest that in lieu of gifts, you consider a donation to a charity. We believe that you may find the following charities to be worthy of your donation:
Water For People helps people in developing countries improve quality of life by supporting the development of locally sustainable drinking water resources, sanitation facilities, and hygiene education programs.
Because members of the military and their families are stationed worldwide and must often travel great distances for specialized medical care, Fisher House™ Foundation donates “comfort homes,” built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers. These homes enable family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful times – during the hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury.
All we ask is that you let us know that you donated and to which charity, so that we can recognize your contribution. There are a few ways you can do this. If you donate online, the websites allow you to contribute in honor of someone. They then have areas where you can enter that person’s name, address, and (sometimes) email. (We believe) if you enter our information, the charities will then notify us. Or, you could notify us yourselves by email (or letter). For email, we ask that you use the email address donation@sneary.net. For an address, you can use the return address in the invitations we send out. We will then be able to thank you for your generous donation.
